Position: Graphic Design Assistant (01.2012)

Job Description 
Softfirm is seeking a part-time, contract Graphic Designer to work on a variety of projects including brand identity creation, application & management, collateral & print design, book & magazine layout & design, and website design & graphics.

We are seeking an individual that is motivated, self-starting, and organized to navigate our collaborative, fast-paced, multi-faceted practice. Ideal candidates will have the exceptional ability to multi-task and take direction, along with impeccable taste, professional communication skills and a positive can-do (or can-figure-it-out) attitude.

Required Knowledge
Applicants must have commanding knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop, in-depth understanding of page layout design and typography, as well as a working knowledge of web-design and development (though actual coding is not required).

Experience
Recent design school graduates with a degree are preferred.
